Reigning U.S. Open champion Geoff Ogilvy (69) and 2001 British Open champion David Duval (70) are part of a group tied at minus-four.

 

The two first-round leaders are next on the leaderboard. Doug LaBelle shot 67 and is alone in fourth at minus-14, while 2000 U.S. Amateur champion Jeff Quinney posted a 68 and is alone in fifth at 13-under-par 131.

 

Weekley, whose best tour finish was a share of third earlier this year at the Chattanooga Classic, started on the 10th tee Friday and opened with back-to- back birdies to get to nine-under. After he parred the next four holes, Weekley birdied 16 and 18 to turn in minus-11.

 

He made it three in a row as he birdied the par-four seventh. Weekley also birdied No. 8 and a birdie on the ninth made it five straight to close his round.

 

"I've just been focused on hitting the fairways," Weekley stated. "I'm hitting it solid, but there are a couple of shots I haven't mastered yet in my swing of thoughts. Basically out here it is going to be a putting contest. I hit a lot of good putts today."

 

The 37-year-old Duke parred his next four holes. He ran off three birdies in a row from the sixth to move into a share of second place.

 

"Boo and I had a lot of good looks today," said Barnes, who was played with Weekley the first two rounds. "We've fed off of each other the first two days. Our iron play has been pretty spot on."

 

Nick Flanagan fired a nine-under 63 of his own. He stands at 12-under-par 132 and he shares sixth place with Josh Broadaway and Justin Bolli.

 

Hoylake, England (Sportsbook Betting Lines) - Tiger Woods two-putted for birdie from short of the 18th green Saturday to card a one-under 71 and maintain a one- stroke lead after three rounds of the British Open Championship at Royal Liverpool. The world's No. 1 player struggled on the back nine Saturday with his putter. He three-putted three times, including twice for bogey, but it was his closing birdie that helped him remain atop the leaderboard by himself through three rounds.

 

Garcia and DiMarco both held a share of the lead during the third round with their stellar play. Former U.S. Open winner Jim Furyk, who played alongside Garcia, also had a share of the lead during the third round thanks to five birdies over his first 10 holes.

 

Springfield, MO (Sportsbook Betting Lines) - Overnight leader Boo Weekley posted a four- under 68 on Saturday to hold on to his piece of the lead after three rounds of the Price Cutter Charity Championship. Former U.S. Amateur Champion Jeff Quinney carded a seven-under 65 and Australian Nick Flanagan fired an eight-under 64 to join Weekley in the lead at 20-under-par 196 at Highland Springs Country Club.
